Back and recovered from Iola Car Show and ready to help you find the correct mechanical and/or electrical part for your antique cars! Thanks to all of you that stopped by the tent to say hello after two years!

7/2/21

We will be in and out all thsi week and maybe part of next week getting ready for and recovering from Iola Old Car Show (spots AP664-AP65) See you there!

5/4/21

Looks like with all the supply chain shortages, Best Gasket is getting hit with higher prices again. What we have decided to do is to hold the line at least until the end of summer and swallow the higher pricing ourselves, keeping our prices where they are for now.

We are still trying our best to get the new web site up, as our shipping calculator is not as accurate as it once was. Package delivery services keep raising their prices, too but we continue to do what we can to keep them down. Speaking of which, for all international buyers-- DHL no longer is doing business with us (we didn't ship enough to warrant lower prices, and not having lower prices, we shipped even less). We tried UPS for a while but their opaque pricing system meant we were getting hit with fees we didn't know we owed so that was a losing proposition. A customer led us onto a site called myus.com . This site is for international buyers where they get a box /suite that any seller can send items to and then have the items shipped from there. Looking into this, there are a number of mail forwarding companies that will do this for you. It may cost less in the long run with less trouble in shipments. This is something you as a customer has to set up, as from what I can tell, I can't do it for you.

8/30/20

Our supplier, Best Gasket, has raised prices for the first time in 2 years. Because most of our prices stayed the same from the time before that, we unfortunately will have to be raising prices for the whole lineup of Best Gasket in the next few weeks. We still appreciate your business, and you have kept us going in these uncertain times.Thank you.

8/1/20

Due to the Global pandemic, and sporadic shipment transit times, both in the USA and to any other countries, we cannot guarantee a definite shipment delivery date anywhere for any delivery service. This is especially pertinent to other countries or internationally except for DHL Worldwide Express. Most, but not all, USPS Priority Express Mail in the USA and Some Canadian USPS Priority Express International mail may still have guaranteed delivery times. We do not ship UPS or FEDEX internationally as they have too many hidden fees. Please contact bob@marxparts.com with any further questions

2/24/20

If you order a part and then decide to cancel the order without contacting us, you will be subject to a 5% refund fee as our merchant account / PayPal no longer returns fees charged to us and to cover paperwork. It is strongly suggested that you contact us before ordering if you are unsure about shipping times, correct part or any other problem that may come up.

9/25/19 We just got back from a business trip to Nebraska. Found some interesting people and managed to pick up 49 fuel pumps to add to our collection of fuel pump parts for rebuilding / refreshing with new nitrile chemically resistant diaphrams that can withstand the gas they produce nowdays.

Made it through another Iola car show. Nice to speak with old friends. Been working on the new and improved site, hoping to make a debut in a few months. Hope you are enjoying the fact that I haven't raised prices this year, though that will probably come to an end except for some of the more expensive engine gasket kits when I implement the new site.

11/2/18

Back to work after a few days off. The parts got moved to our warehouse in Arpin, so at least they are a little closer.

8/24/18

Best Gasket has beat me to their website update. Good news for them, bad news for this website, as they are now using a different style of programming to get their pictures to pop-up which means the links connected to the part numbers no longer work. I've got the Best Gaskets Link on the side bar to come up to their search page so far, and hopefully will be able to do something else in the future, but for now will have to do.

Iola is behind us now so we can start concentrating on getting parts moved, websites updated and maybe a few other things that need our attention. Thanks to all that stopped by in the heat.

7/10/18

We may actually make it to Iola this year.Swap space number AO64-65 AP64-65. this also means that any orders made on line may be delayed getting shipped. See you there!

2/17/18

We found a new camshaft grinder locally. He mostly does racing shafts and doesn't really need our business, but has the tooling to do some of the older ones for us. He does a really great job. One of our customers was really happy because they got an extra 5+ H.P. out of their 29 Chevy without compromising the timing.

12/22/17

Would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and any other holidays I may be missing until I write again! Thank all of you for your patronage and hope you remember us when you do your next car.

That said, over the next few weeks I will be raising prices on most of the gaskets as my supplier Best Gasket has done it to me-- I haven't raised them for a while and most of the sets will be going up ~ 5% to reflect our cost changes. Still trying to keep it at a reasonable for most rate.

Got the warehouse extension done just in time for the weather to set in. Hope we get a good January thaw so we have a chance to move things around and get started on the next step of updating/insulating the older part of the warehouse before spring.

10/4/17

Wow! It's been a while since I posted! August 5th we managed to make it to the Van Der Brink auction for Bob Hensel's property and came home with several LOADs of stuff (facebook shows a few of the items we won.) So we spent that month bringing it all home and trying to find places to put it.

Good thing we already had an extension planned for our warehousing. We've spent the last three weeks in September helping the contractor out with the materials aquisitions and making sure everything is going right on it.

Almost Done!. Putting the roof on today. Once the land gets a final grade, sidewalls get their steel on and the doors go in, we will be ready to start moving things in. Just hoping everything fits!

7/9/17

Our apologies to anyone that went looking for us. I'm sure by now you got to the spot but no one was there. Bob's back went out, so the show did not happen. Happy to say he is on the mend again.

2/12/17

New products available! Fuel pump gasket kit for AC Model D. See fuel pump page in our online catalog.

We also now carry one more generic rope rear main seal for those of you with orphan cars or even tractors to go with the other two available. See the bottom of the page on Rear Main Seals in our online catalog. It also fits a Buick 455.

10/21/2016

We went to an auction last week for the first time in a while and ended up with about 30 new old replacement stock speedometer cables that fit back into the thirties at least. We will be working on these this winter, trying to sort them out.

7/19/2016

The pictures for the rear main seals mentioned below should now show up when you click on the part number. The mobile site is working fairly well but I have noticed there are some links that work for the site when on a computer, but not mobile. Such as the part at the top of each gasket page for the year/type of individual car that should pop you down the page so you can look at it right away. Looking to see what can be done about that. In the mean time, remember; I have tried to make the pages short enough that if you scroll down, you will be able to determine which set you need anyway.

6/13/16

I've been trying to put pictures of the 4 cylinder Willy/Jeep rear main seals and new pages for the 7.8MM electronic ignition wire in the lacquered cloth colors but so far have been unable to cipher the new format on how to do this. If you are interested in either of these products or anything else, please feel free to email us for more information.

5/13/16

This web site should now be mobile friendly. We have partnered with Duda.com to make the site compatible with most mobile devices. There is even a spot on the 1916-36 Chevrolet page where you can request a brochure again.

 1/26/15

Our suppliers of reproduction parts have been raising prices on us again, so I have to pass it on to you, our customers, if I want to stay in business.

Prices are not all changed yet on the web site yet, but slowly getting there. I am trying to keep them as low as possible, so that I can pass as much savings to you as I can. This is slower than expected, so get your gasket sets while they are still lower in price.

Remember also, that we still have (usually) cheapest shipping rates among the various others out there that do this, although that pricing went up in January as well.

Our shopping cart that is powered by auctioninc.com has switched to a responsive cart that is mobile friendly so don't get freaked out if it doesn't look the same as it used to and doesn't quite match the feel of our website. This shopping cart leads to a PayPal related shopping cart which is completely secure and also allows for credit card transactions even if you don't have PayPal. Just look for the small print that says pay with debit or credit card or PayPal credit.

Our server switched us over to a different format for more security as well so our forms no longer work, but should have the rest of it up and running except maybe a few pictures.

I now have a few ignition parts up on the Ford other parts page--more to come.

I've revamped the spark plug wire and fittings page so that most of the wire we stock and all the fittings that we carry for the 7mm and 9mm are on the page.

If you want spark plug wire sets that are already made up visit the Ford page, or the Chevy page so far.

Bob is also rebuilding/refurbishing some of the NOS/NORS fuel pumps that had the older diaphragms but were otherwise new we have as we have almost every diaphragm necessary to get the job done now. You will need to contact him directly for more information.

Ignition page has a few caps, rotors and points set up for you to browse. Any suggestions or requests, let us know. Contact us and we'll try to get you a quote within a reasonable amount of time.

New Chevy reproduction parts are mostly in stock and ready to ship. Items that we can have drop shipped in most of the USA are the Billy Possum brand axle and propeller shafts . I now have the buttons set up in light green, and the correct shipping etc should be in place. Sorry no drop shipments for these two items to California because of the sales tax laws, and shipping for international sales may not go through correctly either. Which is why they are in light green so we can review the order before having the drop shipment done and in case our supplier happens to be on one of their tours.

We are still renting the warehouse in Marshfield.

I've got a page set up with a list for some of the distributor caps that I've found so far in our Marshfield  warehouse. My interchange list for these along with a description of what they fit is a VERY long process. (What else is new?)  So far it's just a list with some numbers, which has been useable for some of you. Click the link for distributor caps or the link at the online catalog page. We've been selling a number of the rarer ones and some of the numbers may be still up, but no longer here. It takes us a few days to physically check stock, so please send your request and we will get back to you as soon as we can.  I thank you for your patience.
